Product Specifications
Analog Outputs
The ACAO-12-2 features two analog outputs; the ACAO-12-8 includes eight analog output channels.
Analog Output Ranges
The ACAO can output either voltage or current. Selectable voltage ranges include 0–5V, 0–10V, and ±5V;
current is output in the 4-20mA range only.
Resolution
The ACAO can operate with resolution of up to 12 bits.
Speed
The ACAO has a maximum output rate of 130kHz on a standard IBM PC running at 4.77MHz (rates are
somewhat faster in faster computers).
For the multi-channel output rate, divide the maximum 130kHz rate by the number of channels using an
assembly language program.

Output Protection: May be shorted to any voltage between +12 and -12V

Relative accuracy for all ranges is a maximum of 0.01%.
There is a 0.01% maximum linearity for all ranges, guaranteed monotonic. The differential linearity is a
maximum of 0.01%.
Stability
In Voltage Output Mode

With self-calibration is 0.002% / ºC maximum
Without self calibration is 0.008% / ºC maximum

Response time to 0.01% accuracy:
Small step is 2.5µs
5V step is 20µs
10V step is 35µs
