Configuring isolated input filters
Each input channel on the Switch & Sense 8 has a filter that you can enable and disable from this dialog. The
filter is required for alternating current (AC) inputs, and recommended for almost all DC inputs. Unless you
have a good reason to turn off a filter for a channel, we recommend that you enable it.
1. Click on the Switch & Sense 8 node whose input channel filters you want to configure.
2. Click on the toolbar icon.
"Test' menu option
You can also access this feature by selecting Test from the USB menu.
The Switch & Sense 8 Test dialog opens.
3. Click on the Isolated Input tab.
4. To enable a filter for a channel, click on the corresponding check box.
To disable a filter for a channel, leave the corresponding check box blank.
5. To read back bit values from each channel, click on the Read Inputs button.
Channel values appear in the Isolated Input fields that correspond to each channel.
6. Click on the OK button to close the dialog.
The Switch & Sense 8 relay testing feature available on the Relay tab is explained in the chapter "Testing the
Switch & Sense 8 Relays."
For information on the functions available from the software library, and also on the programming examples
